Wolfgang Grams was a German political extremist and a member of the leftist militant organization called the Red Army Faction (RAF). He was born on February 2, 1953, in West Germany and died on June 27, 1993, in Bad Kleinen, Germany.
Grams was considered a dangerous terrorist by the German authorities and had been involved in a number of bombings and attacks on police and military targets throughout his career. He had been on the run for several years before he was finally tracked down by the police in a shootout at the railway station in Bad Kleinen.
Along with Grams, another member of the RAF, Birgit Hogefeld, was also killed in the shootout. The incident became controversial when it was alleged that the police had executed Grams and had covered up the details of the operation. However, an official investigation later cleared the police of any wrongdoing.
Despite his controversial actions, Wolfgang Grams remains an important figure in the history of militant left-wing movements in Germany. His life and death continue to be a subject of inquiry and debate in academic and political circles.
